Mirror Mirror

An art project I undertook as part of the IDEAS program at Wesleyan University, my "Mirror Mirror" project seeks to make the user consider the words they say about their appearance. Utilizing a Raspberry Pi running a custom Python program, the device listens to the user's speech, transcribes it, and displays it on an OLED display mounted flush behind a one-way mirror, all in real time and without any internet connection required. Outside of the electronics, the device is constructed of laser-cut MDF which I sanded and painted, stainless steel hardware binding the plates together, and a laser-cut acrylic one-way mirror.
